Welcome to
Edling Park!
Located at the corner of Shurs Lane and Terrace St, Edling Park was established in 1993 through a donation from Emma and Albert Edling to the Central Roxborough Civic Association. The donation included a requirement that a portion of the parcel be designated as a park and permanently restricted from development.
Edling Park is approximately ¾ of an acre in size. It contains steep slopes and rocky outcroppings that offer am intriguing glimpse of the neighborhood’s original geology.
The park is maintained by volunteers. Recently the CRCA and its volunteers have removed invasive trees, shrubs, and tons of trash from the park. Working with the Roxborough Manayunk Conservancy our volunteers spread tons of mulch and planted more than 1000 native plants seedling that are better hosts for birds, insects and other wild animals that live in or pass through the park.

A Community-Owned Park
Edling is home to many trees and birds and contains a significant cliff face. Every year, volunteers plant trees, remove weeds and debris to help keep this special corner of Roxborough green and open. We welcome you to join us - it’s a great way to get to know our ever-growing green community.
